Time Management

Wednesday, June 27, 2018 | 8:00 – 10:00 am

About the Course

One identified challenge for employees is often the inability to complete job tasks due to insufficient time. Through this class, we will learn skills to manage our time more efficiently by recognizing time wasters, developing scripts for ending a conversation, processing ways to organize your physical space, and identifying specific tools that can help manage responsibilities. Participants are encouraged to bring specific issues for discussion in this class, as we will set aside time for problem-solving within the 2 hour period.

Course Objectives

  1. Participants will be able to pinpoint time wasters and set boundaries to minimize their impact
  2. Participants will be able to create routines for the beginning and end of the work day to improve productivity
  3. Participants will be able to identify changes needed for work space to increase efficiency
  4. Participants will be able to develop scripts for saying “no” to extraneous tasks that will deplete time and energy

Target audience includes psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, recovery coaches, peer specialists, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and substance abuse counselors for this intermediate level of instruction.
